How the hell do I gather the strength to say goodbye to you? How the hell do I come to terms with the fact that our journey together is over? There is no blog, no book, no podcast, and no conversation with friends and family that can properly prepare a person to say goodbye to their most constant companion. My guy. My main man. My Trav. 

As I reached the top of the stairs at 125th, I was stopped by the most gentle human who leaned in to show me his phone. I thought he was a tourist about to ask for directions, (mostly because of the camera), but as soon as I saw the screen on the Humans Of New York Instagram, I remember saying “Oh my God you’re famous!”.

I became delusional about potential mates. I would manufacture sparks in hopes of getting closer to the "real thing." After one night of texting back and forth with any newfound fling I met randomly while roaming New York City, I would ask myself, "Is it you?". So I caved and wrote a song about this pathetic behavior.
